The context
The energy sector is undergoing profound transformations globally.
From traditional to the most recent sources, all face efficiency challenges for the future of society. The energy transition requires science-based innovation, entrepreneurial courage and new business models. Entrepreneurs and deep tech startups face barriers such as long cycles, high risks and lack of structure to validate technologies.
How to support these entrepreneurs so that innovative ideas become impactful solutions?
The motivation
Despite strong investment in energy sector research, there is a mismatch in startup generation: of the 870 deep techs in Brazil, according to an Emerge study, only 5% operate in energy, with most concentrated in health and agriculture.
This paradox – of high investment and low creation of national science-based suppliers in the sector – is what Petrobras wants to address.
Enfuse Emerges
An initiative to boost deep techs in energy, connecting science, market and innovation ecosystems.
The program acts as a bridge between science, entrepreneurship and the energy market.
Its role is to create methodologies, train entrepreneurs, connect ecosystems and monitor results.
Our objectives
Develop and test methodologies and strategic planning and management tools that stimulate the development of the technology-based entrepreneurial ecosystem in the oil, gas and energy transition value chains in Brazil.
Conduct national and international benchmarking to identify best practices for creating and consolidating deep techs
Apply diagnostics based on data science and innovative methodologies
Identify, train and monitor entrepreneurs and technology ventures
Strengthen the O&G+ET sector in the national context
